Dueling Banjos

After a few months of rather successful nights at Les pères populaires and at the request of various unnamed individuals, I've decided to attempt a somewhat thematic night there. So far the "theme" (or perhaps genre) has been "populaire." Some idea of a people's music, a little outside a strict (or perhaps crass) commercial environment, but always in an upbeat dancey way. I've been able to mix chanson, the Balkins, psychedelia, old rock n roll, salsa, 60s soul, Svenska pop and dozens of other styles all in the name of "populaire".

So for the next two soirées I'm going to focus (though not exculsively!) on a specific instrument. To wit, the first of the Instrument populaire series: Dueling Banjos.
